I was looking for video interviews of Nathan Oliveira for my students, since his show is opening this week at Thompson Gallery and I ran into this interview in two parts for RTP Portuguese TV.
Alfred Molina as Mark Rothko
I shot this Rothko painting, “Untitled” a few years back at the De Young. What is it about Rothko – the aura? That red can of paint looks awfully good. I want to see this play. Here is the Ben Brantley review of “Red” in nytimes. And here is a scene from the PBS site.
